KilnBox Support
KilnBox measures the space a pottery piece takes up in your kiln. Walk one circle around a piece with your iPhone and KilnBox builds a 3D model and fits the tightest upright box around it.
Which iPhones work?
KilnBox needs an iPhone with a LiDAR sensor: iPhone 12 Pro or any later Pro model.
How do I get a good scan?
Put the piece on a plain table in even light, centre the dot on it, and walk one slow, full circle around it. Keep the whole piece in view.
How long does a scan take?
Building the 3D model usually takes one to two minutes after you finish walking around the piece. KilnBox shows a rough estimate while it works.
Where are my scans stored?
Only on your iPhone. Deleting a piece in the app removes its model. Deleting the app removes everything. See the privacy policy.
